For the end of the week celebration, the day camp leaders asked (needed) a cake with cupcakes to serve 200. So, I made a single layered full sheet cake & 10 cupcakes. The cupcakes were color coded for each level of Girl Scouts.

Anniversary Cake
In celebration of eleven years (11 ‘ears’) I made this cake. I used a pattern to make the stencil out of fondant. It was a triple chocolate cake torte with chocolate butter cream and iced with butter cream. There weren’t many specifications for this request other than Mickey and chocolate cake. It is light pink in color in honor of the wife’s favorite color.

Cupcakes for Co-op
I’ve never made a cupcake cake so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try to make one. Our co-op friends won’t be too critical.

Weekend cakes
This Girl Scout bridging cake featured Daisies to Brownies. I piped the names of the girls that bridged on the rainbow bridge and then the other girls that joined the troop were piped on the Brownie side.
This cake was for my nephew’s 2nd birthday party. I tried to make the fire truck off his invitation but made some modifications.

Celebrating a birthday
This is a cake for a joint Girl Scout meeting of Daisies & Juniors that will be collecting food in the neighborhood for the local pantry and then their snack will be a birthday cake & cupcakes to celebrate Juliette Low’s birthday.
I hope they enjoy them.
I had hoped this would resemble the Daisy emblem. Unfortunately, I didn’t allow enough time for practice and error if I needed to remake. I’m hoping they get it.

Here is my weekend cake:
Tomorrow a family will gather together and celebrate. The birthday girls had requested a cake with horses, a fence, and a ducks on a pond. The other night I spent some time sculpting the horses and ducks out of fondant. I also made some cattails and at my husbands recommendation – a turtle. I envisioned the fence as the backdrop with the horses resting in the field near the pond.
Here is how it turned out . . .
