About Me & My Cakes

What's one more blog? No, just kidding. This blog will not feature my ramblings. I will use this space to post pictures of some of my edible creations.

I have been making cakes for a while. I started when the kids were younger, and I made their birthday cakes using the themed/shaped cake pans. A couple of years ago I finally decided I wanted to learn the techniques and try my hand at making cakes. I took the Wilton classes at our local Jo-Ann store and really enjoyed what I learned.

I have had the privilege of making cakes for family, which allows me the opportunity to experiment or practice techniques. I have also made a few for friends - and got paid, which was a wonderful feeling. There's something about getting paid for something you like to do. I hope over time I will have the opportunity to make a few more.
